Many people want to use templates but have no idea how. I also get many questions about HTML, and what it is.
Let's assume you know NOTHING about HTML or templates, and we'll start from the beginning!
First of all HTML is a code. Templates are comprised of HTML code, think of it like words and punctuation. When you receive a template, it will be written on a Notepad or Wordpad document. This is where you need to keep the code because transferring it to Microsoft Word will often change it. Just save it to your desktop or someplace you can find it easily. Each time you list an item you will refer to the document, enter in the information and copy the whole thing, and paste it into the Ebay description box. Let's break that down even further:
Here is a screenshot of a template in HTML code:

You may get confused by the additional HTML tags. The only thing you need to look at is the picture URL's the shipping, and terms. All other tags, just ignore :) That's it. You can see how it's mainly "fill in the blanks"
You can always go to www.practiceboard.com and keep checking to make sure your code is translating into the finished page as you'd like it to appear.
I recommend Photobucket (www.photobucket.com) as a photo host. It's very easy to see what you've uploaded and the URL is right there under each image. Like this:

As you can see, each button that I make is a graphic image with it's own URL. I create these graphics in my photo editing program, upload each one, and enter the URL into the template code. They are "fixed" and cannot be changed within the template's code.
Once you have your information plugged into your template code you're ready to enter it into Ebay's "Sell your Item" form.

After you enter the entire code into the description box, you just go on as normal and post your item listing. You can always click on "preview description" to make sure it looks right.
It does seem complicated at first but after awhile it becomes very easy!
Ebay has a page of good HTML tips you should check out: HERE
Please keep in mind that I am happy to guide you in getting your template up and running, but due to the enormous amount of time it takes walking people through every single step, I ask that you at least read some of these tutorials, and get an idea of how things work before you ask questions. Thanks!! :)
